Welcome to Braiding 101, a foundational course designed to help you master essential braiding skills while preparing for professional licensure. Students will learn core techniques—including Cornrows, Feed-In Braids, Senegalese Twists, Starter Locs & Retwists, Knotless Braids, and Traditional Box Braids—with a focus on clean parting, proper tension, and long-lasting results.

You’ll also gain critical knowledge in hair and scalp disorders, safety and sanitation, and receive step-by-step assistance with the braider license application.

This course equips you with the skills, confidence, and professional standards needed to start or grow your career in braiding.

*An afro mannequin, a mannequin stand, and a braiding hair rack given to the student to keep.

*During the course combs, brushes, clips, braiding gel will be provided for use during the course.

*Snacks, drinks, and a meal will be provided during the course.
